Up for your consideration is a two-piece set of replica WWII 10 ROUND MILITARY CONTRACT SHOTGUN SHELL BOXES with a Remington Arms M19 All-Brass 00 Buckshot combat load label.<br>All shotgun ammunition was initially delivered to the government in 25 round cartons, exactly as sold in the civilian market, but with a "US Property" stamp on the box. Later, the shells began to be packed at the plant in military-contract 10 round boxes, probably for ease in issue in the field, and for long-term storage in spam cans. By late 1944, all-brass 00 buckshot shells made by Winchester began to appear in 25 round boxes, replacing the paper-cased combat rounds that were becoming unusable in the damp climates of Alaska and the Pacific. Finally in early 1945, the Remington-produced M19 all-brass 00 buckshot shell became the primary authorized shotgun combat round, and was subsequently issued well into the Vietnam War period, when they were eventually replaced with a plastic-cased round.<br>Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for two unassembled cartons with a Remington Arms M19 label. The lot numbers are hand stamped on the labels prior to shipping, either matching my original boxes, or if you prefer, I can match the lot number of a spam can or crate that you may have. The cartons will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions, and the shipping is free within the US.
